Spuds and Puggsys first encounter

"I'm Sorry to say Pete but you are failing this class I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to reconsider taking this coarse"
"But.. I need this.. Or I can't be a doctor...please"
"We're sorry, but you really do not meet our standards"
Pete stood from his chair and clenched his fists "fine, I'm sorry to waste your time" Pete walked out from the office and closed the door behind him. He stood putting his hands on his fore head and clenching his teeth "This is the 3rd collage I tried, I don't think I'm cut our to be a doctor" He sighed as he walked down the long corridor the walls of which where paved with plaques of other people high achievements.  As he passed by the window something strange caught his eye, in the middle of the court yard was a bright red patch of what looked like grass. He walked closer to the window as he got closer he could see that the patch of grass was not only moving but it had legs and arms. The way the person moved looked like they where trying to get up but their stick like arms kept collapsing under there own body weight. Pete stood and stared at the person wondering if he should maybe go help them, this thought was confirmed after the person raised there head, there mouth was pouring with blood. Pete ran as fast as he could to the nearest door, he looked out into the courtyard and saw the person was lying completely still on the floor. He ran towards them and kneeled by there side. The person was like a skinny stick lying on the floor, they where surrounded by vomit and blood. Pete turned the person over and put his ear on his chest. He couldn't hear his heart beating. He began pounding on his chest trying to start it up again. He put his ear up to his chest still nothing.  He kept hitting his chest until suddenly the man shot up, and out his mouth came a singular tooth that hit Pete right in the face. He fell back down and gasped for air. "Are you alright?" Pete asked. The guy looked at Pete with his icy blue eyes "Yeah I'm quite alright thanks for asking, you?" He put his arms behind his head and pulled a box of cigarettes from his pocket, He put one in his blood stained mouth and casually lay there smoking on the floor. Pete sat there staring at the man in confusion. "..em I'm alright…"
"that's good , that's good. Can I ask you something?"
"eh.. yeah"
"Who are you and why are you in my garden?"
"I'm Pete Puggsly  … and I'm not in your garden, you're in the middle of St. Margaret's Medical College…do you not know where you are? " The guy sat up and looked around. "nope" He lay back down on the ground. Pete just sat even more confused than before. "Oh yes I forgot to introduce my self I do apologise Pete my name is Spud, Spud Nicholson" He sat up and put his hand out to shake Petes hand, he smiled revealing his almost luminous yellow teeth, at least half of which where missing. His vile alcohol fuelled breath hit Pete like a shovel in the face. He coiled back from the stench, but still he put his hand out and shook Spuds.  They pulled away and Spud lay back down. "No offence man but have you been drinking your breath stinks"
"No offence but you look like a Pug, name like one too"
"Fuck off. I just saved you're life"
"Oh yes thank you for that most appreciated"
Pete looked at him with complete disgust, how could someone be so casual about the fact they just about died, and so unkind to the person who saved him. He almost stood up and left until Spud turned on his side and started coughing causing more blood to come from him mouth. "Seriously dude you look like death"
"Well I did just technically die didn't I"
"Hmm true, Still you should maybe stop smoking, that blood could be coming from your lungs"
"I doubt this"
"Why, it is a common side affect from smoking, and judging by your teeth you seem to do that a lot"
"Well I doubt it because It's coming from my mouth, fell into a wall over there, knocked out some of my teeth"
"you're defiantly drunk"
"just a tad"
"Do you think you will be okay? Like getting home"
"em I dunno, as I said I have no clue where I am "
"right." Pete stood up putting his hand out to Spud "c'mon I'll help you get home you are in no state to walk around by yourself" Spud grabbed Petes hand and he pulled him up off the floor. Spud towered over Pete he was at least a foot and a half taller, he did not look this as he was lying on the floor. Both of them being almost polar opposites Pete being a small chubby fellow with ash blond hair and round features. Spud was a giant stick man with red hair and sharp features. Pete was trying to help Spud walk but that was hard when he was so much taller than he was. Still with Petes help Spud still stumbled back and forth, his long noodle like limbs kept intertwining with Petes stubby legs, causing them both the stumble. Spud put his face right up to Petes "Not meaning to offend you. My dear. But you're too wee and Stubby"
"Okay If you insult me one more time I am not taking you home, and please don't breath in my face your breath stinks"
Spud staggered backwards and walked slightly in front seeing how his strides where so long.  He was so unsteady in his stride, stumbling left and right and almost falling flat on his face about five times in the space of 10 seconds. Every time he seemed to sway a bit to much Pete would run to his side to make sure he could try and catch him if he where to fall. "You move rather fast for having such short wee legs" Pete clenched his fists and without thinking about what his next action was he full force pushed Spud with all his strength. Spud flew forward smacking his face against a wall, knocking him back to the floor. "Oh my god Spud I'm so sorry" He kneeled back down by his side and lifted him off the ground his eyes where closed. "Spud! Spud! Wake up I'm sorry I didn't mean it" Spud opened his eyes and once again saw Pete face looming over him. "Fuck you little Puggsy. Fuck you"
"I'm so sorry I promise I'll take you home"
"Fine Pugs only if you promise to not do that again"
"Yes I promise"
Spud put his hand up to get Pete to help him up. Pete helped him back up off the floor, and Spud lunged away down the courtyard. "Come along Puggsy" Pete ran back to Spuds side as they pottered towards Spuds house.
